What This Gasket Does
The hand hole covers sit along the side of the 855 and N14 block. Pull them and you get access to the cam followers, connecting rod bolts and the inside of the crankcase for inspection. Each cover needs a gasket between it and the machined face on the block, and 3068466 is that gasket. Composite fiber material, cut to the cover profile.
It lives in a low-pressure area but it sees constant oil splash and crankcase heat cycling. Composite fiber handles that better than a paper gasket because it keeps thickness and does not turn brittle after a few thousand heat cycles. When it does give up, it hardens, shrinks slightly and stops loading against the block face.
Symptom is almost always the same: a wet streak running down the side of the block from the cover joint, oil collecting on the frame rail or the starter, and a slow oil consumption complaint that nobody can pin down. Wipe the block clean, run it, and look at where the trail starts.

3068466 is the headline number. Cummins 131469 shows up on older 855-series listings for the same hand hole cover joint — the sealing face on the block did not change through the N14 development, so the earlier number and 3068466 describe the same gasket footprint and the same bolt hole pattern.
FP-3068466 and M-3068466 are the aftermarket manufacturers' own catalog numbers. Both took the base number and added a house prefix, which is normal practice on engine gasket lines. If you have a box marked FP-3068466 or M-3068466 in the parts room, it is the same gasket as 3068466 by number derivation.

Before You Order And Install
Get the engine serial number off the dataplate on the block. 855-series and N14/N14E share a lot of hardware but not all of it, and the serial is what settles the question. If the old gasket carries a legible number, that is the fastest confirmation you will get. Count your covers too — most jobs need more than one gasket.
On install, scrape both the cover and the block face down to clean metal. Old composite bakes on and leaves high spots that will hold the cover off the block. Check the cover itself for warp, especially around the bolt holes where somebody over-torqued it. A dished cover will leak on a new gasket every time.
