What This Seal Is And Where It Goes
This is a differential pinion seal, plain and simple - it rides in the carrier bore around the pinion yoke and keeps gear lube from running out where the driveline connects to the rear end. A11205X2728 is the Mack number, but it's the same seal Meritor uses across a lot of their rear axle carriers too, which is why you see it on trucks that never had a Mack badge on them.
On the fitment side we've got it listed under Freightliner because plenty of Freightliners running Meritor rear axles use this exact seal - the axle doesn't care what's stamped on the hood, it cares what carrier housing is bolted underneath. Same story with other makes running Meritor MT/RT series rears.
Bottom line: this part is about the axle, not the truck badge. If you've got a Meritor or Mack rear diff, there's a decent chance this seal fits regardless of what the front of the truck says.
Reading The Cross Numbers - What Actually Matters
The numbers in the table - National/Federal-Mogul 4543V, TDA/Meritor TDAA11205C2728, Pro Trucking's version, the generic 32500 and 9263 4543V - these all cross to the same physical seal. Different manufacturers just stamp their own part number on the same design once it's proven out, so you'll see four or five numbers all pointing at one seal.
What you want to double check before you order: the bore diameter and the seal lip ID where it rides on the yoke. Pinion seals for different Meritor carrier sizes (like the smaller RS vs the bigger RT series) look almost identical but aren't interchangeable, so a seal that's off by even a few thousandths on the ID will leak just as fast as no seal at all.
Easiest way to confirm - pull the old seal and read whatever number is stamped or molded on the seal case itself, or check the tag on the axle housing. Match that against A11205X2728 or one of the cross numbers above before you hand over the truck to your driver.

Frequently asked questions
Does A11205X2728 fit my Freightliner?
Depends on what rear axle is under it, not what's on the hood. If your Freightliner is running a Meritor rear end, there's a good chance it fits, but pull your old seal and check the number stamped on it, or give us your VIN and we'll check the axle code before you order.
Is this the same as the National 4543V?
Yes, 4543V crosses to the same seal as A11205X2728 - same bore, same lip diameter, different manufacturer stamping their own part number on it. Either one will work, we just carry the Mack-numbered version.
How do I know if this is the right seal size for my differential?
Pull the old seal out of the carrier and read the number off the case - that's your surest confirmation. Seal sizes vary between Meritor carrier models even though they can look alike, so matching the old part number (or checking your axle tag) beats guessing by eye every time.
