11-315

11-315 Cross-Reference — Single Layer Air Hose 1/2 15ft SAE J1402 DOT Air Bra

11-315 is a 1/2" single-layer air brake hose, 15 foot length, coiled with a protective spring on the ends - the stuff you cut down for glad hand leads, tank lines, or wherever a rig needs flexible air line that won't kink and rub through at the fitting.

What You're Actually Buying

This is straight SAE J1402 / DOT rated single-layer air brake hose, 1/2" ID, sold in a 15 foot length with the spring guard already on it. Single layer means it's rated for standard system pressure - not the double-braided stuff you'd run on a wet tank line under constant flex - so know which application you're replacing before you order.

Fits any Class 6-8 truck or trailer running standard 1/2" glad hand and tractor protection valve setups - Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, International, doesn't matter, air hose is air hose as long as the ID and pressure rating match. Where guys get burned is grabbing 3/8" thinking it's close enough. It's not - check the old hose or the fitting bore before you buy.

Why These Numbers Cross

11-315 shows up under 11-815, 11-812, 19215, 19215-01, 022021, and 451031 because different suppliers have packaged and renumbered the same DOT-spec hose over the years. Same wall thickness, same ID, same spring-guard construction - the differences are mostly in packaging length codes or which catalog picked it up first.

There's no spline count or arm length to worry about here like there is with slack adjusters - this is hose, so what matters is ID (1/2"), length (15ft), and single vs double layer construction. If your old part number doesn't match anything on this list, measure the ID and check for a DOT stamp on the hose itself before assuming it crosses.

Ordering It Right

We keep 11-315 in stock at the Tacoma counter and ship it out same day if you're local, or nationwide if you're not. At $38.85 it's cheap enough that guys keep a spare coil in the shop rather than run a rig down waiting on air line.

Warranty's 6+ months, which is plenty for a hose - if it fails from a manufacturing defect and not from getting run over by a forklift, we'll take care of it. Bring in the old piece or give us the number stamped on it and we'll match it up before you walk out.

Frequently asked questions

Does 11-315 fit my Kenworth T680 air brake system?

Should, if your existing hose is 1/2" single layer DOT air brake hose - that's the standard on most Class 8 trucks including Kenworth. Pull the old hose and check the ID and any stamped numbers, or give us your VIN and we'll confirm before you order.

Is 11-315 the same as 19215-01?

Functionally yes - same 1/2" single layer DOT-rated hose with spring guard, just a different catalog number from another supplier. Construction and rating match up, but if you've got the old part in hand, check the stamp against what you're ordering just to be sure.

Can I use this for a tank-to-frame line instead of a glad hand lead?

Depends on your application - single layer hose works fine for a lot of tank lines, but if your rig spec calls for double-braided hose in that spot, don't substitute. Check what's coming off, not just what fits in the fitting.
