1658485C1

1658485C1 Cross-Reference — Silicone CAC Hump Hose - 3.5" ID x 6" Length with 3 Stainless Steel Rings - Fits International (Navistar) 4700, 4800, 4900 F02497S352

1658485C1 is the boneyard number you'll hear for the charge air cooler hump hose on International 4700/4800/4900 trucks, and it's just a 3.5" ID silicone coupler with three built-in stainless rings for shape - cheap insurance against a boost leak that'll cost you fuel mileage and set off a code.

What This Hose Actually Is

This is a hump hose, not a straight coupler - it's got a bend molded into it with three stainless steel support rings inside the silicone so it doesn't collapse under boost pressure. Goes between the charge air cooler piping on the intake side, 3.5" inside diameter, 6" overall length.

International used these on the 4700, 4800, and 4900 series trucks with the DT466/DT530 engines. If your rig's got a CAC system (which most of them do post-emissions), this is the flex point that lets the piping move with engine vibration and heat cycling without cracking like the factory rubber did.

Silicone over rubber matters here because CAC hoses see constant heat cycling under the hood. Rubber gets brittle and splits at the ribs; silicone holds up a lot longer, which is why aftermarket guys spec it even though the OE part was rubber.

How the Numbers Cross and What to Check

1658485C1 is the Navistar factory number, F02497S352 is how it shows up in our system, and 1709113R is an older International reference that comes up when guys are digging through parts books from earlier trucks. All three point at the same physical hose - same ID, same length, same bend angle.

Where guys get burned on hump hoses isn't the number, it's assuming all 3.5" hoses are interchangeable. The bend radius and overall length have to match or the hose will kink or won't reach, and on a 4900 with a longer nose that 6" length matters. Pull the old hose and measure ID, length, and check if it's a straight or humped design before you order.

If the old hose is too far gone to measure accurately, the tag on the CAC piping or your VIN will get you the right combo. We'd rather spend two minutes confirming than have you shipping a hose back.

Frequently asked questions

Does 1658485C1 fit my 4900 with a DT530?

Likely yes if it's got the factory CAC piping setup, but confirm the ID and hose length against your old part or run your VIN by us before ordering - the 4900 had a few configurations depending on year.

Is F02497S352 the same as 1709113R?

Same physical hose, different reference points in time - 1709113R was the older International part book number, F02497S352 is our current stock number. Both cross to 1658485C1.

My old hose is cracked and I can't read the length off it anymore, what do I do?

Measure what's left of it for ID, and check the CAC piping tag if there is one - otherwise give us your VIN and we'll pull the right application from there.

Not sure it fits? We check before you pay.

Run your VIN and we’ll match parts to your exact truck, or call the counter — a person who knows trucks verifies fitment by OEM number before the order ships. No wrong-box returns.
