What This Panel Does
The middle fairing panel is the LH mid-section of the Cascadia's side skirt package. It bridges the gap between the cab extender area and the rear portion of the fairing, closing off airflow along the frame rail. It carries no structural load. It bolts to fairing brackets and support arms off the frame, and it lives close enough to the ground that it takes abuse.
Damage is usually mechanical, not wear. Curbing the truck on a tight turn cracks the lower edge. Retreads and road debris punch holes mid-panel. Ice loading and vibration work the mounting holes oval until the panel sags and starts rubbing the tire or dragging. Once a panel sags, the adjacent sections get pulled out of alignment and the whole skirt line looks wrong.
