What You're Getting
This is a hanger-and-flap kit, not just the bracket. The hanger arm is spring steel, straight profile, built to hold a 2-1/2" wide flap - in this case a 30" flap is included. Straight arm hangers like this mount up flush behind the wheel, no kick-out or angle to clear anything, so they're common on trailers, dumps, and straight trucks running standard mud flap width.
Spring steel is the point here. A stamped or cheap tube hanger takes a hit from a curb or dock plate and stays bent - you're back under the truck with a hammer. Spring steel flexes and comes back. That's why these show up so much on fleet trucks that back into docks all day.
30" length and 2-1/2" hanger width is a common spec, but 'common' doesn't mean universal. Pull the old hanger off and measure the mounting hole spacing and arm length before you order, especially if this is going on something other than a standard trailer axle.
Why These Numbers Cross
562.453 is the base part. The 'FS' suffix versions (562.453FS, 562.490BFS) usually denote a slightly different flap style or a stainless hardware kit - same hanger, minor spec change on what's bundled. 562.490B and 02224LLR show up on this list because different manufacturers rebadge the same spring-steel design; the geometry and mounting pattern lines up close enough that they interchange for the hanger itself.
Automann's AM562453FS and AM562490B are the aftermarket house-brand equivalents - same part, different label. This is normal in the mud flap hanger world; there's only so many ways to bend spring steel into a bracket, so a handful of manufacturers all make near-identical parts and the numbers cross accordingly.
What actually trips people up isn't the hanger, it's the flap. If your old kit had a different flap length or the mounting holes on your fender or frame don't match this hanger's hole spacing, none of these numbers will help you. Confirm by matching the number stamped or printed on your old hanger, or get exact measurements before you order.
Ordering From Us
We keep 562.453 and the crossed Automann numbers in stock in Tacoma - same-day pickup if you're local, and we ship nationwide if you're not. These move fast because half the trucks on I-5 are running some flavor of spring-steel hanger that's rusted or bent.
Every kit carries our 6+ month warranty. If the spring steel cracks or the hardware's junk, bring it back - no runaround.
One more thing: if you're not sure which of these numbers matches your rig, call the counter with your VIN or the old part number in hand. We'd rather spend two minutes confirming than have you shipping a hanger back because it didn't bolt up.
562.453 Cross-Reference & Interchange Numbers
These manufacturer and aftermarket numbers commonly cross-reference to 562.453. Use them to identify the part — then confirm the exact fit by VIN or the number stamped on your old unit before you order. An interchange is a starting point, not a fitment guarantee.

Frequently asked questions
Does 562.453 fit my trailer?
Probably, if it's running a standard 2-1/2" wide spring-steel hanger with similar hole spacing - but 'probably' isn't good enough to order blind. Measure your old hanger's arm length and bolt pattern, or give us the number off it, and we'll confirm before you buy.
Is this the same as the Automann AM562453FS?
Functionally yes - it's the same spring-steel hanger design, just Automann's part number on their version. We stock both and they cross-reference, but if you've got a specific reason to want one brand over the other, say so when you order.
What's the difference between 562.453 and 562.490B?
Both are spring-steel straight hangers in the same size class - the differences tend to be in flap style or hardware included in the kit, not the core bracket. Check what's bundled with each before ordering if you need a specific flap length or mounting hardware.
