What This Panel Is
This is the top center door panel on the Thermo King Precedent unit — the fiberglass section that sits mid-door across the face of the nose-mount reefer. It carries no load and holds no fluid. Its job is to close the airflow path, keep road spray and grit off the condenser side, and give the unit a clean, sealed front.
The part is moulded fiberglass, weather- and corrosion-resistant, so it does not rot out from salt the way a steel panel would. Failure is mechanical, not chemical. Panels crack, star, delaminate at the mounting bosses, or snap clean off when a corner takes a hit. Once the boss is gone, the panel rattles and works the surrounding gelcoat.

If the panel is smashed and the tag is gone, work from the unit serial plate and the panel position instead. Photograph the mounting boss layout before you throw the broken piece out.
Inspect what is behind the panel while it is off. If the panel let go in a strike, check the door frame for tweak, the hinges for elongated holes, and the latch alignment. A new panel bolted to a bent door will crack again in the same spot. Fix the frame first.
