This is a shock absorber for the Cascadia's suspension - front or rear depending on which position your old part came off. Freightliner ran this basic design across a long production run, so the same shock ends up on trucks that are otherwise pretty different under the skin.
B23566 is the aftermarket version we stock. It's built to bolt in where the OE 23566 came out, same mounting style, same working length.
Don't guess off the model year alone - Cascadias got suspension running changes over the years, and some trucks got optioned with different ride heights or air ride packages that change what fits.
Why All These Numbers Cross to the Same Shock
You'll see 89440, S23566, S24023, S24088, and 341625 all pointing at this same part. That's normal - Freightliner used a few different part number sequences over the years (some tied to supplier changes, some to running production updates), and the aftermarket guys picked up all of them because they're building to the same physical spec.
The Alliance numbers (N32 G900028, N32 O900028) and other aftermarket crosses like 85000, 89405, 89436, S24023, and 65419 are the same story - different label, same shock geometry. What actually matters is mounting bolt spacing, eyelet size, and overall extended/compressed length. If those three match, the shock works.
Where guys get burned is mixing up front and rear positions, or grabbing a shock off a truck with a different ride height option. Pull the number off your old shock before you order - don't go by the truck's build sheet, because shocks get swapped in the field more than people admit.
