What You're Getting
This is the driver's side (LH) S-cam for a 16.5" trailer brake assembly - the shaft that rides in the spider, gets kicked by the slack adjuster, and rotates the S-cam head to shove those shoes into the drum. 17.31" length, 28 spline count on the head end. That spline count and length matter more than the brand name stamped on the box.
This part fits a chunk of trailer axles running Meritor/Rockwell-style 16.5" brake foundations - Dana/Spicer trailer axles used the same basic geometry for years, which is why you'll see this cam cross to so many numbers. Common on dry vans, reefers, flatbeds - anything on a 16.5" trailer brake setup with the matching cam head and bushing bore.
Comes as bare shaft - no bushings, no seals, no anchor pin included unless your kit says otherwise. Check what you're ordering against what you're pulling off the trailer.
Why All Those Numbers Cross
E5506, 2210-C-6867, 2210-R-8156, R607082, CS41110, 41110, 17-721 - these aren't different parts pretending to be the same thing. Multiple manufacturers built S-cams to the same Meritor/Rockwell spec because trailer OEMs standardized around it decades ago. Same spline, same length, same LH rotation, different part number depending who cast it.
Where guys get burned: cam length and spline count can look close but aren't interchangeable. A 17.31" cam won't work where you need 18" or 19", and 28-spline doesn't mate with a 10-spline slack adjuster. Also confirm LH vs RH - install the wrong hand and your brake shoes won't engage right, or the cam binds against the spider.
Drum size (16.5") ties into this too - this cam's built for that foundation, not a 15" or 12" setup. If your trailer's got a different drum diameter, this isn't your part regardless of what the old cam's number says.
Ordering From Us
We stock these at the Tacoma counter - if you're local, call ahead and we'll have it up front, no waiting on a truck. Ship nationwide too if you're not in the neighborhood, and most orders move same day.
Surest way to make sure this is right: pull the old cam and read the number off it, or run the trailer's VIN and axle info by us before you buy. Spline count and cam length are the two things we'll double check with you every time - cheap insurance against a return.
Backed by our standard 6+ month warranty. This is aftermarket, cross-referenced to fit the Meritor spec - not a Meritor-branded part, so match it against your old cam's numbers before it goes in the truck.
E5506 Cross-Reference & Interchange Numbers
These manufacturer and aftermarket numbers commonly cross-reference to E5506. Use them to identify the part — then confirm the exact fit by VIN or the number stamped on your old unit before you order. An interchange is a starting point, not a fitment guarantee.

Frequently asked questions
Does E5506 fit my trailer?
Depends on your axle and brake setup, not just the trailer brand. Confirm by pulling the old cam and checking length (17.31"), spline count (28), and that it's LH rotation, or give us the VIN and we'll match it up.
Is this the same as CS41110?
CS41110 cross-references to the same spec - 17.31" length, 28 spline, LH - so it should be a direct replacement for the same application. Still worth checking the old part's number against ours before you order, especially if your trailer's been through an axle swap.
Do I need new bushings or seals with this cam?
This is a bare shaft - no bushings or seals included. If the spider bushings are worn or you're doing a full brake job anyway, pick those up separately so you're not pulling the axle apart twice.
Not sure it fits? We check before you pay.
