This is a left-hand (driver's side, but check your terminology - some guys call it 'street side') headlight assembly built to bolt into the same bucket as the factory sealed-beam or halogen unit on a Peterbilt 359 from '81-'88, a 379 from '87 clear through '07, and the 389 from '08 up to 2021. Long production run, same basic mounting footprint the whole time - that's why one part number covers three trucks spanning four decades.
LED projector beam up front, halo ring around it for the running light function, black housing instead of chrome. If your truck's got the ugly amber sealed-beams still in it, or your halogen housing's cracked and foggy, this is a straight upgrade in the same physical spot.
One thing to flag: this is the LH side only. If you need the passenger side too, that's a different part number - don't order two of these thinking you're covering both sides.

The headline number 16-09190L and the Peterbilt P54-6087-L are the same physical part - same mounting tabs, same connector, same halo ring diameter. Where it gets tricky is the connector plug and the halo wiring. Peterbilt changed harness pigtails a few times over the 359-to-389 span, so even though the housing bolts in the same, you want to check your old headlight's connector shape against a photo before you order, especially if you're on an older 359. Adapter pigtails exist but nobody wants to be hunting for one on a Friday afternoon.
Surest way to confirm: pull the old unit, read whatever number's stamped or stickered on the back or side of the housing, and match it against what's in our cross-ref table above.
