16-09190R Cross-Reference — RH LED Projector Headlight Assembly with Halo DRL

16-09190R is the RH LED projector headlight with the halo DRL ring that Pete guys started asking for once the sealed-beam and reflector units got hard to source - fits the long-nose 359, the 379, and the 389 across three decades of production.

What You're Actually Buying

This is a passenger-side (RH) headlight assembly - black housing, LED projector beam, halo ring running as your daytime running light. It's built to bolt into the same headlight bucket used on the 359 from '81-'88, the 379 from '87-2007, and the 389 from 2008 up through 2021. Peterbilt didn't change that mounting bucket much across those trucks, which is why one part covers such a long build span.

It's a direct replacement for the old P54-6087-R style housing, meaning the mounting tabs, harness connector, and headlight opening line up with what's already in the truck. You're not cutting brackets or re-pinning plugs to make it work.

Housing color is black - if your truck's got the chrome bezel trim ring from factory, that trim piece is separate and reuses on most applications, but check it before you order if you're not sure.

Reading the Cross-Reference Numbers

16-09190R is the number we stock it under. It cross-references to P54-6087-R and P54-6112-110R, and it also lines up with World Truck's PET-013B-R. Different suppliers slap their own part number on what's functionally the same housing casting and mounting pattern - that's normal in this industry, not a red flag.

Where guys get burned is assuming any 'R' suffix headlight fits any Pete. The R just means right-hand/passenger side - it doesn't tell you the model year range or whether it's projector vs reflector, LED vs halogen. Two headlights can share a similar-looking part number and still have different beam patterns or connector styles underneath.

Surest way to confirm: pull the number off your old headlight housing - it's usually stamped or on a sticker near the connector - and match it against what's in our cross-reference table. If that number's rubbed off, give us the truck's VIN and we'll pull it from there instead of guessing off the model year.

Ordering From PartStop

We're in Tacoma and keep this one on the shelf, so if you're local and your truck's down, same-day pickup or same-day ship is the norm, not a promise we make and then miss.

Ships nationwide same as anything else in the electrical/lighting line - boxed to survive freight, because a busted LED lens does nobody any good.

Comes with our standard 6+ month warranty. If it shows up wrong or doesn't match your old unit once you've got it in hand, call before you install it - way easier to sort out a return on an uninstalled part.

Frequently asked questions

Does 16-09190R fit my 1995 Peterbilt 379?

Should - the 379 run from '87-2007 uses this same mounting bucket and connector on the RH side. Still worth pulling the number off your current headlight or having your VIN handy when you call, just so we're not going off the model year alone.

Is this the same as the World Truck PET-013B-R?

Same fitment, same mounting - PET-013B-R crosses to this housing based on our reference data. Different brand stamp, same application. If you've already got a PET-013B-R in hand, compare the connector and lens before swapping, just to be safe.

My old headlight doesn't have a halo ring - will this LED halo unit still work?

Physically it'll bolt in fine since the housing and mount are the same. The halo DRL function needs the harness pin for it, which most of these trucks already have from factory, but if yours is an older harness without a DRL circuit the ring just won't light up. Check your wiring before assuming full function.
