These cross because the physical part — lens shape, base diameter, wire gauge, pigtail length — matches close enough to be interchangeable in the field. What doesn't always match: wire lead length coming off the pigtail, and whether it's a 2-wire or 3-wire hookup if your trailer's got a marker/ground/power setup versus straight marker-and-ground.
